What It Means to Be Part of the “Club” at Denver Plant Club

If you’ve ever visited us or followed us online, you’ve probably wondered about the name: Denver Plant Club.

Are there meetings?

Do we have secret handshakes?

Is there a membership card involved?

The answer is actually much simpler than that.

We call ourselves a “Club” because if you’re into plants, even just a little, you’re already part of it.

That’s it. No membership fee, no sign-ups, and definitely no gatekeeping. If you love plants, are curious about plants, or even just want to try keeping your first one alive, you’re part of the club.

A Plant Store That Feels Like a Community

At Denver Plant Club on South Broadway in the Platt Park neighborhood, we believe buying a plant should feel different than buying most things. Plants aren’t just décor or products, they’re living things that change, grow, and sometimes confuse the heck out of us.

That’s where the “club” idea really comes in.

When you get a plant from us, you’re not just walking out with a pot of greenery. You’re also getting ongoing support, advice, and encouragement from people who genuinely love talking about plants.

Because plants aren’t always straightforward. Leaves turn yellow. Growth slows down. Suddenly you’re wondering if your pothos is thriving or plotting its dramatic demise.

And that’s completely normal.

Plant Care Support Comes With Every Plant

One of the biggest things that makes the “club” special is that we want you to succeed with your plants.

When you purchase a plant from Denver Plant Club, we’ll always give you care guidance specific to that plant. That might include things like:

  • How often to water

  • What kind of light it prefers

  • What signs to watch for if something changes

  • How to help it grow and thrive in your space

But the support doesn’t stop when you leave the store.

Plants grow, seasons change, and sometimes things happen that Google just doesn’t explain very well. When that happens, we want you to feel comfortable coming back and asking questions.

Seriously, questions are welcome here.

Ask Us Anytime (Really)

Part of being in the club means you can reach out whenever you need help.

You can:

  • Stop by the shop and show us photos

  • Bring your plant in for a quick look

  • Send us a DM on social media

  • Ask questions when you’re in the neighborhood

We genuinely enjoy talking about plants and helping people figure things out. Whether it’s a watering question, lighting issue, or just curiosity about what your plant is doing, we’re always happy to help.

Helping someone gain confidence with their plants is one of the best parts of what we do.

Even If You Didn’t Buy the Plant From Us

Here’s another important part of the club philosophy: you don’t have to buy a plant from us to ask for help.

If you picked up a plant somewhere else, inherited one from a friend, or rescued one that needed some love, you’re still welcome to reach out.

Plants don’t really care where they came from, and neither do we.

Our goal isn’t just to sell plants. Our goal is to help people feel comfortable caring for them and enjoying them long term.

So if you’re unsure about a plant you already have, bring it in or send us a message. We’re always happy to take a look and offer advice.

Learning Plants Takes Time

One thing we like to remind people is that plant care is a learning process.

Even experienced plant people lose a plant once in a while. Leaves drop. Watering schedules get forgotten. Sometimes plants just decide to do their own mysterious plant thing.

That doesn’t mean you’re bad at plants.

It just means you’re learning.

The more you observe your plants and ask questions, the easier it becomes. Over time you start noticing patterns, how the soil dries, how leaves signal thirst, how different plants respond to light.

That confidence is exactly what the club is all about.

Plants Are Better When Shared

Another reason we love the idea of a “club” is that plants naturally bring people together.

People swap plant stories, share cuttings, talk about their favorite varieties, and celebrate new growth. It becomes less about owning plants and more about enjoying them together.

Whether you’re just getting your first snake plant or you already have a growing indoor jungle, there’s always something new to learn and share.

And honestly, we just love being part of that conversation.

Welcome to the Club

At the end of the day, Denver Plant Club isn’t really about membership. It’s about creating a welcoming space where people feel comfortable exploring plants and asking questions.

If you’re curious about plants, learning about plants, or already obsessed with them, you belong here.

So next time you’re nearby, stop in and say hello. Bring your plant questions, your plant photos, or just your curiosity.

We’re always happy to help.

Because if you’re into plants, you’re already part of the club.

And we’re glad you’re here.

Visit us in Platt Park or check out our workshops and plant care resources online. Let's grow through the fall together.
